Falling Water
Painting was a new experience for Brenda. For most of her life, working was her main focus, requiring travel thoughout the United States. It wasn’t until she retired in 2015 that an interest in painting emerged. Her first painting experience was a “Paint and Play” class, sharing pizza and wine with her friends. And, what do you know?... a “hidden talent” was discovered! Brenda's style of painting has evolved into what she refers to as “Modern Impressions." She uses acrylic paints, enhanced with various textures, providing depth and character to each piece of art.
Brenda was born in Savannah, Georgia. She lived in Atlanta for 30 years, and then relocated to South Carolina in 2006. Then it was on to Florida in 2021. Brenda currently resides in Clarkesville, Georgia, in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
Brenda was a member of SOBA Gallery in Bluffton, South Carolina and Beaufort Art Gallery in Beaufort, South Carolina. She was a member of the Hilton Head Art League on Hilton Head Island and All About Art in Sun City in Bluffton, SC. Additionally, Brenda was an Associate Member at Artisans Gallery in Mt. Dora, Florida.
Brenda currently has artwork on display at Killmon Gallery in Sautee-Nacoochee, at Canvas & Cork Gallery in Dahlonega, and Gallery 441 in Dillard. We are happy to show Brenda's work here at Hemlock Studio Gallery.
