Jane McFerrin

Jane McFerrin developed an appreciation for art at a young age, influenced by her family’s tradition of visiting art museums during vacations. After retiring from a career in education, she pursued her passion for art by exploring various mediums, including pencils, watercolors, acrylics, oils, charcoal and photography. Although she enjoys experimenting with different techniques, her preferred method is mixed media, com combining watercolor and original photographs. Jane is proud to be part of Hemlock Studio Gallery since its founding and to contribute to supporting the arts in Northeast Georgia.
Jane, along with her longtime friend Anne Short, established Hemlock Studio Gallery in 2021. She currently serves as the gallery photographer and helps to promote Hemlock artists by posting regularly to our Facebook and Instagram accounts.
